5. Loosen the contact labelled –48V.

6. Connect the metal prong on the end of the red wire to the –48V contact and tighten the contact

screw. The connection should now look like the following illustration.

7. Plug the plastic plug on the other end of the power cable into the DC input jack in the fax board

mounting bracket.

8. Turn on the computer.

9. Plug the Tellabs 8012 power supply into the wall socket.
